Very Impressed

I got the Black Ti with anodized accents version. Didn't really know what to expect, even after watching a few reviews.

I was immediately struck by the fit and finish. Great work all around... the milling, the anodized accents, the grind, it was all perfect. Did I mention the milling? I love this pattern... and it's only JUST able to be felt... not something that stands out to the touch and grips the hand, but just creates a little different texture.

It's light and a good size in length, but pretty thin. Excellent pocket carry specs.

The blade came sharp and, like I said, evenly ground. It was perfectly centered, as well. I stropped it 2 or 3 times on each side and it cuts like a laser.

Now, for me, the best part: the action. It's perfect. The detent is great... crisp and present, but not too much. Front flipper seems good, but I don't use that much due to a finger injury. When using thumb studs, however, the blade flies to the open position once it breaks the detent, with zero wrist movement. And it drops closed once you disengage the liner lock, so be aware. It's smooth as can be. I fidget with it waaaay to much. Oh yeah, the all Ti frame means the acoustics of the lock engagement is very satisfying. You know when this thing is open. It sounds bigger than it really is.

Finally, the ergos. It seemed like it would be lacking here by looking at it... but it fits my hand very nicely. The lockbar access cutout acts like a finger groove, and the forward choil allows for very comfortable choking up. Multiple grips are easy to achieve and use. No hard edges anywhere, and the pocket clip disappears in my palm.

All in all it's a home run... and getting it while it was on sale was the cherry on top. Kizer... ya done good.

A Masterpiece that Fits in Your Pocket

This slim, sleek, and sexy piece of pocket cutlery is magnificent. I’ve carried and used mine since January of this year (2024) and love the ease with which I can deploy it from my pocket, open, use, close and repocket it with either hand with no issues. It is a well designed tool, crafted and finished brilliantly. Thank you, Kizer and Jacob Lundquist for such a great offering.

Varatas is a premium knife at an amazing price!

For this price, the Varatas is an amazing little package. Very thin liner lock, with perfect centering, amazing detent, thumb hole and snappy front flipper, and the lightening ano’d backspacer and pivot make this an over the top value. S35vn is still an excellent edc steel choice, and the Jacob Lundquist design gives this thing top-notch ergos. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality, given the price. This thing swings well above its weight class. Absolutely zero complaints.
