The Guru designed by Matt Degnan is a reliable everyday carry knife made to tackle cutting tasks of all sorts, whether indoors or out. It features a premium 154CM steel blade with a black finish. The Micarta handles offer excellent grip. Because of the material characteristics, each Micarta handle has a unique pattern and pattern arrangement. Thumb stud opener with ceramic ball bearing pivot rapidly deploys the blade, ensuring a smooth and reliable opening and closing action. Lanyard hole and tip-up carry pocket clip make it convenient to carry.

Blade wouldn’t lock open like it’s suppose to, figured quality would have caught this but I can’t use a blade that won’t lock open so for this it’s getting a 1 star review.

Been carrying this new knife for a couple weeks. Factory edge was clean and very sharp. Action feels good, and has an overall great look and feel. We will see how longevity is, but so far so good.

Great Knife

The Guru has great action and ergonomics. I really like the blade shape. The biggest negative for me is that the detent ball catches on the liner lock when closing the blade. I have never had this on any other knife that I have owned. Besides that I really enjoy this knife.

Excellent

Just like my other Kizer's, this knife does not let down. Great Kizer action, good ergos. And Kizer's micarta and black stone wash is always top notch. A little jimping on top of the blade would have been a nice touch though. It's a no brainer with the sale price going on.
