DESCRIPTION

Sheepdog Progression

I was a little late to the Sheepdog conversion. This is my 3rd one, started with a mini, standard, and this XL. Love the knife. It is definitely XL as advertised but not so big that it becomes a novelty/conversation piece. 154cm is great like other Kizer's I have picked up. Functional knife, carries better than I thought it would. Smooth action and opens with a satisfying "chunk". Have a TI version on the way.

It's got that chonk

I bought this knife because it was on sale and I've never owned a sheepdog. It came hair-whittling sharp...the sharpest factory edge I've ever seen. It shaves paper. Plus, it's a big knife and that's how I like em.

A Great, Big Knife.

Bought two of these XL Sheepdogs, I put one away and have not been gentle with the other. I have used it to break down boxes, cut hose, score and cut 5mm plywood, score and cut leather as well as other tasks. The knife holds up, its big extremely sharp and durable. The sheeps foot blade is new for me but I have become quite fond of this design. This blade is a workhorse, good job Kizer.

Excellent Value

This thing is quite beefy and will make a good camping knife. It's a bit large for an EDC, but I knew that going into it. The blade was initially just a bit difficult to deploy with the flipper, but after applying a bit of blade oil and fidgeting with it for a bit, this is no longer an issue. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a folding cleaver style.
