The blade of this Begleiter 2 is made of 154CM material. 154CM Steel Blade delivers excellent edge retention, and corrosion resistance, and is suitable for heavy cutting applications. We have designed anti-skid gears on the upper edge of the knife for higher safety.

This Begleiter 2 has a grey Micarta handle. Micarta has a soft feel in the hand and possesses an aggressive grippiness.

Big Swing

The weight feels good. I feel confident carrying this day to day and on the job (LEO). I will say, the studs on the blade don't feel great when trying to flick. The ramp on the back is decent but I struggle when my hands are either sweaty and or just moist. Thankfully the button system works like a charm. Over all. Great knife. Sharp. Looks good. Opening mechanisms misfiring slightly.

I love this thing!

I'm so glad I bought this knife. The micarta is amazing and the 4 inch blade flips out with a solid THUNK. The button lock is solid as well. All in all, I am stoked at getting this for 51 bucks.

Long and Sleek

Even though I read the specs, this knife is longer than I had imagined. That's not a bad thing, just my own OP. This knife is awesome. The action, opening and closing, is legendary Kizer with a perfect detent. IMHO the grey micarta and black blade are a handsome combo.

Bare bones review

Full review could only come after months of use, but out of the box I find Begleiter xl solid, filling the hand nicely, the closed blade filling the alley between liners well centered, the opening and closing smooth and inviting to use, no wiggle or rock at the pivot pin and blade lock, and the blade edge is equal and sharp.

Begleiter XL!!

I own a few other Begleiter's; original, 2, and now the XL. I love the full size and the button lock makes it super fidgety! 154CM is good enough, would like to see a premium steel version! Ii would definitely recommend!
