Nitro V Mini Grouper

Overall, a very good looking and nice carry knife. Would prefer more texture on the scales, very smooth. The action snaps open with the flipper and button lock; however, the thumb stud deployment is very hard to use, regular or reverse. Could just be that mine needs some oil or more usage, time will tell. Excellent jimping in all the right places.

Great Top Liner Lock

The button-actuated top liner lock is fantastic, I hope we see it implemented in other models in the future. Great leaf/shilin cutter blade shape, smooth action. Handle could be a bit grippier but overall it feels great in hand. Detente is a touch strong and makes thumb or reverse flick opening a bit tricky at times, but the flipper and button work really well as opening methods.

Best top liner style knife available today. Period.

I bought this on a whim at the same time I picked up another knife named for a furry trash eating animal. This knife is far better built and has way better lockup. Both are solid knives, this one is just noticeably better. Even though the lock face is very small on this knife, it is closer to the pivot and has a mechanical advantage. The button placement is also way better on this knife because it is out of the way of your fingers and grip even when choked up on the handle. I removed the flipper tab, contoured the scales, and replaced/inset the pocket clip to make this knife almost perfect for me. If this knife was sold in a premium steel and micarta/titanium scales/clip I would throw down the cash for that without hesitation.

Good EDC knife

Very pleased with the Mini Grouper. This is a good size knife. It is very comfortable in hand, deployment is smooth and easy, and the price is fair. I'm very happy with this purchase.
